The UEFA Super Cup is a one-off match between the winners of Europe’s two top-tier club competitions—the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. First played in 1973, the fixture was designed by Dutch journalist Anton Witkamp to establish the definitive best club side in Europe. Over time, it has evolved into a prestigious event with global viewership.

Paris Saint-Germain will face off against Tottenham on Wednesday, 13 August 2025. The kick-off time for the 2025 UEFA Super Cup is set for 21:00 CET/12:30 am IST, 14 August 2025.

The iconic Stadio Friuli in Udine, Italy, will serve as the venue for the upcoming match. The stadium is home to Serie A club Udinese, and it has previously hosted the 2019 UEFA Under-21 Championship final.

The match will be played out in 90 minutes with no extra-time if the scores are level at full time. The match will instead go straight to a penalty shoot-out to crown the winner.

The Super Cup trophy measures at a height of 58cm, and roughly weighs around 12.2kg. It features a blend of tradition and modern elegance, with the current design being in use since 2006. The trophy stays true to the original version crafted in Milan’s Bertoni workshop, and clubs are allowed to commission a replica. However, the replica must not exceed 80% of the original trophy’s size.
