Each season, UEFA awards the Europa League Trophy to the winning team of the Europa League. The trophy serves to recognize the team’s triumph in Europe’s secondary but highly competitive league.

The Europa League trophy roughly weighs in at 15 kilograms, and it is the heaviest piece of silverware under UEFA. It measures around 65 cm in height, 33 cm in width, and 23 cm in depth and is crafted with precision and purpose. While considering the trophy’s value, it lies more in its prestige than in raw material cost.
While UEFA has never officially disclosed the exact manufacturing cost of the Europa League Trophy, the replica could be anywhere from €10,000 to €40,000, considering the high-quality silverwork and custom design. Despite this, UEFA’s brand value and ceremonial use seemingly makes the trophy priceless.

The Milan-based Bertoni workshop designs and produces the Europa League Trophy, and the trophy rests on a yellow marble plinth. Above the base of the trophy is a sculpted group of players that appear to be battling for a ball. In reality, however, the players are holding up an octagonal silver cup engraved with the UEFA emblem. Notably, UEFA retains permanent possession of the original trophy and generally awards a full-sized replica to each year’s champions. Notably, the clubs that win the trophy three times in a row or five times overall will receive a special badge of honor. Sevilla achieved this rare feat of having the special badge of honor back in the 2015/16 season.

Each season, the winning team receives 50 gold medals, while the runners-up take home 50 silver medals. Aside from the players, the coaching and support staff who contribute to the club’s campaign also receive the medals.

The champions of the Europa League can potentially earn up to €65 million ($73 million) through prize money, TV rights, and Champions League qualification revenue. So far this season, the two finalists, Tottenham and Manchester United, have both earned over £26 million ($35 million+).
The winners of the final will earn a further £5 million ($6.6 million) and securing a spot in the next season’s Champions League will bring in another £16 million ($21.4 million). In the Champions League, wins in the group stage earn £1.8 million ($2.4 million) each, while draws bring in £590,000 ($789,640), further adding to the club’s coffers.
