Thanks to a stunner from Rodri in the 68th minute, Manchester City overcame Inter Milan by score of 1-0 in the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League final, know the Champions League winner prize money, awards winners in 2023 

At the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Manchester City defeated Inter 1-0 to win the UEFA Champions League for the first time, completing a treble in the process. Although Inter had the same number of chances as Manchester City during the match, Rodri’s goal midway through the second half was the difference.

Early in the first half, both teams had scoring opportunities, but Inter’s André Onana made two stops to keep City from grabbing the lead. Nicol Barella intercepted an errant ball from Ederson in the 26th minute, but his attempt to shoot over the custodian was unsuccessful. With a hamstring injury, City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne departed the game in the 36th minute and was replaced by Phil Foden. With Inter playing defensively to stop City from getting momentum, the first half ended scoreless.

After Bernardo Silva sent a pulled-back pass from close to the goal to the top of the penalty area, Rodri finished it for City’s first goal in the 68th minute. Three minutes later, defender Federico Dimarco had a chance to tie the score for Inter, but his header struck the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Ederson used his legs to stop Lukaku’s opportunity to score from close range. To keep City’s 1-0 lead intact, Ederson made one more save in the last seconds against Robin Gosens’ header.
