After several months of talks, the two fighters have finally agreed on a deal. At one point, Fury looked to be heading away from a fight against Usyk, after he chose to face Francis Ngannou later this month. The pair were initially set to meet at Wembley Stadium in April, but talks broke down after Usyk’s camp could not agree to Fury’s public demands for removing a rematch clause.
However, according to new reports this week, both Fury and Usyk’s promotional teams have confirmed that the pair have signed the contracts for the upcoming event in Saudi Arabia. Aside from all other major details, both parties have to just confirm the final date for the fight. Interestingly, promoter Bob Arum has confirmed the financial details of the fight heavily backed by the Middle East.

Ahead of the upcoming fight, Usyk recently fought against British heavyweight Daniel Dubois to. The Ukrainian boxer fared well in the early rounds but suddenly got dropped by a huge body shot. The referee eventually ruled the shot as a low blow although footage reviews showed that the margins were extremely fine. Many sources suggested that the fight was perfectly legal since Usyk have ample time to recover.
Despite the setback, Usyk recovered and return to his feet to re-establish his dominance once again. And by the end of the fight, Usyk emerged as the winner following a comfortable points decision. Some sources claim that Dubois would appeal the decision, but without any final outcome confirmed, the Fury vs Usyk fight is set to take place.

If you told Tyson Fury he’s set to make $100 million, he’d really get pissed off, because he thinks – and I think he’s right – that he’s going to make a lot more than that. I don’t know the number… but it’s a lot more than $100 million.”
