Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder were set to meet in the boxing ring this month on 24th July at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. But the third fight between the heavyweights has now been postponed ever since Fury tested positive for coronavirus. The fight will now happen on 9th October instead. Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 Rescheduled Date
Last week, reports told that a COVID outbreak had taken over the Gypsy King’s training camp, infecting him and nine others, in the process. The fight could not have happened on 24th July in any case was postponed to 9th October. The fight was set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegaswith a full house of 20,000 fans in attendance.
Deontay Wilder reacted to this news and told co-manager Shelly Finkel the following. “He did wrong and I’m the one being penalised.” Finkel added that Fury and others didn’t do what they said they had and what they should have done as professional athletes. He stated that there’s a lot of money and prestige riding on this, and that everyone should make sure that their job happens on time.
