Since the Gold City in Alanya, Turkey, will host the competition, it is also called the Alanya Gold City Cup.

The upcoming championships will feature four football associations representing two confederations—the AFC and UEFA.

Going into the competition, defending champions Kosovo will be looking to defend their title against the other three sides: India, Hong Kong, and Estonia.

Turkish Women’s Cup 2024 competition format and tiebreakers

The tournament will feature four teams competing against each other in a round-robin format. Following the end of the competition, the table toppers will be crowned the champions. The teams will win different sets of points based on match results (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss). If two teams are tied on points, the league will use the following tie-breaking criteria to determine the rankings:

• Points in head-to-head matches among tied teams
• Goal difference in head-to-head matches among tied teams
• Goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams

If teams are still tied after applying all the above criteria, the league will follow the criteria below:

• Goal difference in all group matches
• Goals scored in all group matches
• Penalty shoot-out if only two teams are tied and they met in the last round of the group;
• Disciplinary points (yellow card = 1-point, red card from two yellow cards = 3 points, direct red card = 3 points, yellow card followed by direct red card = 4 points)
• Drawing of lots
