Vash informs Meryl and Roberto that he has been wrongly accused of stealing from Plants when Knives is actually to blame. The whole village of Jeneora Rock then confronts Vash in an attempt to collect the ransom on his body so they may fix their defective Plant, cutting short their interview. Meanwhile, the Hard Punch Nebraskas, a pair of bandits, also join the fight to collect the reward. Vash takes the Nebrasakas into the field and escapes them after learning the civilians are in trouble.
The Nebraskas prepare to strike Jeneora Rock and take their last Plant. Vash meets the Nebraskas when he comes, but Gofsef, one of the Nebraskas, is killed when he is pushed down a cliff. The locals make friends with the Nebraskas when Vash compels them to save Gofsef. Roberto thinks that Vash is going to escape silently because he doesn’t want Knives to find him while everybody is celebrating. Strange devices, meanwhile, link themselves to Gofsef and blast all of a sudden.
