2024 Tour de France is knocking the doors and is just two months away from its beginning in June.
The race will include 22 teams competing. All eighteen UCI WorldTeams received automatic invitations. Four UCI ProTeams joined them: Uno-X Mobility and Team TotalEnergies, which were chosen by Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), the Tour’s organisers, as well as the two UCI ProTeams that finished highest in 2023 (Lotto-Dstny and Israel-Premier Tech).

There will be two individual time trials during the 23-day Tour de France, which will also have two days off. There are four summit finishes, some gravel portions for the first time, and a challenging time trial to Nice.
For the first time, an Italian city will hold the honour when Florence hosts the Grand Depart event this year. Spain served as the Grand Depart’s host country last year.

The Tour de France will be place for the 111th time in 2024. It will take place from June 29 in Florence, Italy, to July 21 in Nice, France.
For the first time since the race’s founding, it will not conclude in or close to Paris due to the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games preparations. Tickets can be bought from here.

Tour de France 2024 route
Beginning in Florence, the Tour de France will travel 3,492 kilometres with an elevation gain of 52,000 metres. The first stage will be a mountainous 205km run along the Adriatic coast from Florence to Rimini, while the second will start in the Emilia-Romagna town of Cesena and finish in the university town of Bologna.
Piacenza to Turin is the destination of the third route. After the action moves to France, the fourth stage will also begin in Italy at Pinerolo. The riders will restart their journey from the Promenade des Anglais on July 20 and head towards the Col de la Couillole. The 21st and final stage will be raced as a time trial between Monaco and Nice on July 21.
