Tottenham Next Five Premier League Fixtures To Define Their Top Four Race

The English Premier League title race is seemingly a two-horse race, with champions Manchester City and Liverpool separated by a single point at the top but the top four race is heating up

The Reds beat Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates on Wednesday night to cut the gap to one point, and to put pressure on Guardiola’s men.

It will be an exciting finish this year, with only nine games left to play. The battle for the top four is getting hot, with Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, West ham, and Wolves all looking to squeeze in.

Spurs beat Brighton 2-0 on Wednesday to bolster their chances of finishing in the Champions League slots after their hopes appeared dented after a 3-2 loss to Manchester United on Saturday night.

West Ham United (H) – March 20

Spurs go on a short break before welcoming West Ham to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the second time this season, with the last tie ending in a home win in the Carabao Cup.

It’ll be a huge game for both clubs, not just because it’s a London derby, but also because they’re tied on points, but the Lilywhites hold a slight advantage.

Spurs suffered a 1-0 defeat at the London Stadium last time out, and they wouldn’t want to lose maximum points to their London rivals.

Newcastle United (H) – April 3

After the international break, Tottenham will return to action with a home match against Newcastle.

Their first leg encounter ended in a 3-2 victory for Spurs, then managed by Nuno Espirito Santo. The win at St. James Park was not easy to come by, so Spurs will have to be ready for another scrap. Newcastle have bounced back under Eddie Howe, and Spurs will need to be at the top of their game.

Aston Villa (A) – April 9

The Lilywhites faced Aston Villa before their Newcastle match earlier this season and will face them again after that, trying to make it two wins in a row.

Steven Gerrard’s team is now in ninth place in the Premier League, 12 points below Tottenham. Like Newcastle, Villa present another challenge for Conte with their attacking flair.

Brighton (H) – April 16

Tottenham will welcome Brighton to North London in the second encounter between the two teams after exactly one month after Wednesday’s clash. This is a tie Spurs can afford to feel more confident, but a poor run for Brighton could mean Spurs will face a relegation-threatened side.
Conte will fancy another outing with Potter’s side, but a month is a long time in football.

Brentford (A) – April 23

This will be a special game for Tottenham supporters, as it will be the first time they will see former cult hero Christian Eriksen play since his return to the Premier League.

Spurs will want nothing short of three points against Thomas Frank’s side, who lie nine points above relegation.
