As per the data company, Nielsen Gracenote, Tuesday’s win of Saudi Arabia was the second shocking win in the history of FIFA after 1950.
After using their complex formula factors of team strength, ranking system, history, and location, the data company ranked Arabia’s on 51st with the chance of beating Argentina which stated unbeaten in 36 internationals.

While, the data company is shocked and upset with this year’s Saudi’s win, they also revealed the Top 10 usepts win of the history of FIFA World Cup.
As per Gracenote’s data, some of more upsets such as North Korea beating Italy in 1966 and Cameroon beating Argentina in the 1990 opening match didn’t make the top 10.

1. Saudi Arabia 2-1 Argentina, 2022
Saudi Arabia, which is ranked 51st in the world, was facing an Argentine team which has a record of 37 international unbeaten games.
Things were going pretty smoothly but when Lionel Messi put Argentina ahead with a 10th minute penalty, the goal was made by Saleh Al-Shehri and Salem Al-Dawsari in the early Second half of the game to secure a stunning yet upset win.
2. United States 1-0 England, 1950
For the 1950 Gamez England was appearing for the first time, while team US was already a semi-professional squad.
England’s team featured Alf Ramsey in defence, but they lost in the first half to Joey Gaetjens.
3. Switzerland 1-0 Spain, 2010
Spain’s team went to South Africa as the champions of European and World cUp favourites, though, they only had 22 shots while the opponents had 6.
Spain lost in the second half of the game when Gelson Fernandes secured a goal. Although Spain recovered from the setback and moved ahead as they won the final 3 weeks later.
