Tom Stoltman Biography, Age, Height, Family, Brother, Wife, Autism, Career And Net Worth
Stoltman watches his favorite Rangers FC while he isn’t competing, describing their message congratulating him on his victory in last year’s World’s Strongest Man as a “career highlight.”
While the real-life Hulk is married to Sinead, whom he met topless at a Scottish music festival when they were both 17. He wasn’t always the hulking muscular guy he is now.
Years in the beginning:
Stoltman was born and reared in Invergordon, a small Scottish town with a population of about 3,900 people.
It is most known for oil rig repairs, but it is now on the map for a different purpose.
He wasn’t really fond of lifting as a teenager. Stolman began attending the gym at the age of 16 after being inspired by his elder brother Luke. He is also a competitor.
“I started coming to the gym with some friends when I was 16, but it was just for fun, nothing serious.”
“Seeing Luke compete in his first Scotland’s Strongest Man competition gave me a spark. So I decided to give it a shot.”
Tom competed in his first tournament when he was 19 years old, but life has thrown him some curveballs.
Autism:
He was diagnosed with autism when he was five years old.
When he was in school, it was something that made him feel bashful, and he struggled with how he was seen.
He acknowledges that becoming a strongman has altered his life.
“Before this, I wouldn’t talk to anybody, I didn’t have a partner, and I heard people say I’d stay at my parents’ house until I was 30 or 40 years old, unable to hold down a job or continue my education,” he revealed.
Advocate:
Stoltman has willingly become a spokesman for his neurodevelopmental illness because he is so open and honest about it.
He gives presentations and gives advice to students at schools on a regular basis. He recognizes that he would not be where he is today if he didn’t have autism. I think autism makes you a better athlete because you’re sort of OCD when you’re autistic, and you have a regimen that you keep to,” he explained.
Consider a strongman: eat, sleep, and train every day. My brain can now track how I’m feeling as well, and I’ve gone a long way. Tom explained why he goes into such length about his autism in an interview with The National.
He said the following: “I wanted to be a little more outspoken about it, just to let people know that I’m not shy or weird; it’s just that this is what I have and how I deal with it. I’ve gone a long way by keeping track of how I’m feeling.
A good woman’s love:
Sinead, also 28, met him at a local music event when he was just 17 years old. It seemed a little unusual since Scotland is never really hot, she said, because Scotland is never really hot. All of the females fawned over him. He must have loved it when I was quickly enamored because I had kept my admiration to myself at first.
They began dating soon after exchanging numbers through common acquaintances and texting one other at all hours of the day and night. They married at the age of 21, while he was working as a security guard at Morrisons and she was a trained support worker.
They’re now a celebrity couple, and they’re frequently seen together at Rangers games when he’s mobbed by fans for souvenir photographs.
He’ll be getting more demands from his adoring fans next season now that he’s a two-time World’s Strongest Man winner. His net worth stands at $2.5 million.
