For those who are unfamiliar, let us tell you the once world’s most famous couple, revealed in a statement that they’re splitting as they “grew apart.”
The couple hasn’t shown any fight, drama, or blood as they simply chose to “amicably” separate after they felt their marriage wasn’t working.
On Friday, October 28, the Brazilian fashion model penned down, “With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce.”
The 16th richest woman further revealed that the decision of separation wasn’t an easy one. Meanwhile the professional footballer revealed that the decision of divorce was quite “painful and difficult.”
He also noted that he took the decision after “much consideration.”
The duo, who shared 2 kids together, mentioned in their statement that their children, Benjamin and Vivian are their priorities and the two will continue to be co-parenting them.
The 42 year old model penned down in her statement, “My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart.”
The world’s highest paid model further added, “We will continue co-parenting to give them the love, care and attention they greatly deserve.”
Meanwhile, the 45-year-old player wrote, “We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way.”
The NFL star further added, “We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.”
For those who are unversed, let us tell you, the two first met through their friends and started dating each other back in December 2006.
Two years later, the couple got engaged in early 2009. Soon afterwards, they walked down the aisle together in Costa Rica.
The couple welcomed their first baby, Benjamin in December, the same year as their marriage and their daughter Vivian in December 2012.
