Tom Brady Signs 10-year $375 Million Contract With FOX Sports To Call NFL Games As An Analyst

According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, Brady has agreed to a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox, earning him an average of $37.5 million annually. According to reports, the quarterback’s new deal with the network will be the most lucrative in sports broadcast history.

I’m not suggesting he will be, but does FOX have an out if he’s plain bad? This is a lot of money to invest in someone you’re not sure will be good at his job. I get it’s Tom Brady, but Gus Johnson and Aqib Talib would have been a terrific combination as your primary broadcast team and would have cost you a lot less money.

The Post has heard that Fox Sports has agreed to pay Tom Brady $375 million to become its top NFL game analyst once he retires.

It is the richest deal in sports broadcasting history, more than double the average yearly compensation of $18 million per season of both CBS’ Tony Romo and ESPN’s Troy Aikman.

When asked how much Brady will be paid for the games, Fox Sports refuses to answer.

Fox wanted to make a big impact after losing Joe Buck and Aikman to ESPN. Buck ($15.5 million) and Aikman ($18 million) will earn a total of $33.5 million. Brady will be paid $37.5 million per year to join forces with Kevin Burkhardt.

In this instance, they will be because there is no knowing when Brady. He will be 45 in the autumn, and will retire. When that happens, he’ll be Fox Sports’ top game analyst, earning roughly $40 million per year.

I believe that broadcasters do not force people to watch games; at most, you don’t want them to be obnoxious, but this has never prevented anyone from watching.
