Takemichi moves in front of them and blocks Taiju’s attack as he attempts to strike her. Hakkai is seen carrying Takemichi as the scene shifts. Takemichi apologizes to him since he believes Hakkai fled Toman and chose to join the Black Dragon in order to defend him. Takemichi concluded that Hakkai intended to join the Black Dragons to assassinate his brother. It was because of Taiju’s violent behavior while he was being carried home on his back by Hakkai.
The Mizo Mid Five had chosen Toman at Takemichi’s request. The others were informed by Chifuyu, who was his guest, of the significance of the Black Dragons, and Taiju in specific. Takemichi wanted to get everyone to leave him alone, but Chifuyu gave him a ride and comforted him. Takemichi was so shocked that he filled him in on every detail of time travel and other possibilities.
