Plot of Tokyo Revengers
The story of the anime revolves around Takemichi Hanagaki, who is going through a difficult time in his life. His life is very different from what it formerly was. He was enjoying life to its fullest 12 years ago. He had developed strong friendships during his time in high school and had a girlfriend.
However, the current Takemichi is devoid of it because he split up with his girlfriend and lost his group of buddies. But he has no idea that his boring existence is going to take a turn for the worse.
He learned one day that his ex-girlfriend had been killed by the legendary Tokyo Manji Gang of Japan. Not long after that, he is involved in an accident. Instead of dying, he is transported back in time 12 years to his glory days.
Realizing his potential, Takemichi joins the then-good Tokyo Manji Gang and makes the decision to alter the sad events that resulted in the murder of his ex-girlfriend Hinata and prevent the gang from degenerating into corruption.
He comes to appreciate the value of friendship along the journey as he forms some deep bonds with gang members. With the aid of Hinata’s brother Naoto, Takemichi makes a promise to use his special ability to go across time to save his friends and the woman he loves.
