The first debut season of Tokyo Revengers concluded on September 18. After which the creators of the anime quickly renewed it just a few months later in December.
Tokyo Revengers New Trailer Confirms Season 2
Tokyo Revengers season 2 has been confirmed after a trailer release during the previous Jump Festa event in December 2021. The event also confirmed about the Christmas Conflict Arc already being in production besides the trailer.
However, fans were surprised by the official confirmation about Tokyo Revengers season 2. This is because of the series’ popularity worldwide and the availability of source material from the original manga series.
As of November 2022, 29 volumes have been published in Japan spanning across 260 chapters. This is more than enough source material for even up to two more anime seasons. Interestingly, there had also been other reports for season 2 of Tokyo Revengers even before the official announcement.
The talent management company for Tatsuhisa Suzuki who plays the voice for Draken shared that “production of the second season of the anime has already started.”
The first season covered only till volume 8 chapter 73 of Ken Wakui’s original manga series.
Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Release Window Confirmed
Despite the exciting news about the new season, there have been no confirmed release date for season 2. However, the brand new teaser trailer confirmed that the hit anime series will indeed be renewed in January 2023.
Crunchyroll will expectedly simulcast season 2 internationally from January 2023 onwards. The series is expected to premiere on Saturday, January 1 or the next Saturday on January 8.
