Different countries have announced their prize money for athletes who are taking part in the Olympics 2021. Furthermore, in India, several states have stood up and announced prize money for players. So, here is a list of countries and their prize money for winner at the Tokyo Olympics.

India

The governing body of the Olympics in India IOC has announced that they will be rewarded with Rs. 75 lakh rupees for the gold medal winners. Furthermore, they have also announced a bonus of Rs 1 lakh each for the players who are representing India in Tokyo. Apart from IOC, several states like Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh have also announced that they will reward their players if they come with a medal.

USA

USA is one of the countries which bags the highest number of medals at the Olympics. The US Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) has announced massive prize money for their players.

  • Bronze Medal: $15,000

UK

In recent times, the governing body of the UK has not announced any cash reward for its players.

Australia

Australian athletes can earn up to $20,000 at the Tokyo Olympics 2021.

The Organizing Committee of the Olympics announced that the medals will be made of electronic recycling at the Tokyo Olympics. Moreover, electric wastes like mobile phones were reclaimed as materials for the medals.
