“Toh phir bag pack karke ghar jayenge, aur kya,” Ravindra Jadeja Offers Hilarious Reply When Asked What Will Happen If Afghanistan Defeat New Zealand

India’s chances of making the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2021 solely rely on the outcome of New Zealand vs Afghanistan

After being routed by Pakistan and New Zealand in the T20 World Cup 2021, India found themselves staring down the barrel. While the country has bounced back well to give a good account of itself since with the emphatic wins over Afghanistan and Scotland, unfortunately for India, its destiny no longer rests in its own hands.

Despite going above both Afghanistan and New Zealand on net run-rate after schooling Scotland by 8 wickets on Friday, the only way India can make the semi-finals irrespective of their result against Namibia is if Afghanistan defeat New Zealand on Sunday. While its a tall ask, New Zealand’s form has been jittery off late to see signs of hope in the Indian camp.

However, one journalist clearly has his apprehensions over an Afghanistan win. And he directed that angst at Ravindra Jadeja during a press conference with him asking the Indian all-rounder what India would do if New Zealand defeated the Afghans.

Jadeja was quick to retort with a quirky reply as he said the side would have little to do than packing its bag and heading home if things failed to swing in its favour on Sunday. Jadeja has been in solid touch this ongoing world cup with him delivering with both the bat and ball for India to show why he’s become such an integral part of this Indian team over the years.
