Atheeq Ur Rahman who plays for the Kovai Kings, became the first ever Impact Player in TNPL during the opening match against the IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans. After Sai Kishore dismissed U Mukilesh leg-before as the fourth wicket, he came in to bat during the 13th over. He came in to replace B Sachin in the LKK’s playing XI and went on to score 9(10). India International Vijay Shankar bowled out Rahman in the 15th over.
