In Canada, Tim Hortons has recently added a new menu item, and it appears that they are vying for some of the pizza market shares. In a few stores in the Greater Toronto Area, flatbread pizzas have been sighted. It is a departure for the coffee retailer from its traditional coffee and doughnut offerings.

Asserting that “on any given day, there are Tim Hortons stores throughout Canada running test markets to evaluate new concepts and menu items that we think our guests would appreciate,” a company spokeswoman confirmed the new product to Narcity.

“It’s early days for this test market for flatbread pizzas,” they continued.

In one popular TikTok video, it appears that there are four different types of pizza.

  • Simply Cheese ($6.99),
  • Chicken Parmesan ($7.99),
  • Pepperoni ($7.99), and
  • Sausage with Jalapeno ($7.99).

Online opinions about the new additions are currently very split. While some Canadian customers appear to adore the concept, others believe it to be somewhat inconsistent with the coffee company’s image.

A Twitter user wrote, “Tim Hortons is currently testing pizza in some markets, in case you feel like you’re going through an identity crisis.” Another remarked, “People here believed we’d have flying cars in 2022, instead of Tim Hortons Pizza.”

Where then can one purchase the illusive Tim Hortons flatbread pizza? Customers may “enjoy a slice of the action” at one of 20 test eateries in the GTA, the business told Narcity.

No formal announcement has been made on which branches carry the pizzas. However, some sharp-eyed customers claim that you might be able to locate them at the Mississauga shops at 780 Bancroft Dr. and 1327 Dundas St. E.

And if it gains enough traction, we might even see it appear on menus across the nation.

Customers recently discovered a significant disparity between Tim Hortons menu items in Canada and the rest of the world, which set tongues wagging. For instance, the U.K. restaurants genuinely sell pancakes, whilst the Indian locations offer a variety of fusion foods, such as chicken tikka croissants.
