The next thing you know, one of the Wizard’s women announces that Tantai Jin has been chosen by the Grand Wizard to serve as the Devil God. This revelation astounds Ye Xi Wu. Later, she becomes concerned about Tantai Jin, as she is opposed to the decision. She tries to talk Tantai Jin out of accepting the offer, but he remains silent.
Tantai Jin is seen working in his study late at night when he senses a few arrows coming toward him. He immediately blocks them, recognizing them as Xiao Lin’s. At that moment, Xiao Lin attacks Tantai Jin, and the two engage in a fierce battle. Tantai Jin wishes to kill Xiao Lin because he is the last person alive from the Sheng Kingdom, but he is stopped by Ye Xi Wu.
The next day, Ye Bing Chang, Pian Ren, Ye Xi Wu, and Xiao Lin go to Tantai Jin’s chamber.
