Tilak Varma all tattoos list and what is the meaning of each tattoo

On Thursday, August 3, 2023, in Trinidad, India lost to the West Indies in the opening T20 International, but young Tilak Varma shone for his country. Varma stood out with a courageous 39 from 22 balls, his first international cricket knock, even as prominent team members fell short of expectations.

The Mumbai Indians left-hander wasted no time in showcasing his potential, hitting back-to-back sixes off the second and third balls he faced from pacer Alzarri Joseph.

Tilak Verma’s Grabs All The Attention

Tilak’s tattoos drew everyone’s attention at the match, in addition to his impressive strokeplay. The tattoos on Tilak showed that the cricketer is a devout religious person.

His devotion to Lord Shiva is displayed with a tattoo of Mahadev on his bicep, a Ganesha design on his forearm, and the inscribed words Om Namah Shivay on his right chest.

According to reports, it was difficult to find time to get inked with his hectic IPL schedule. However, he had seven days to get his job done, which is a pretty difficult task for artists to handle.

Spirituality In A Sleeve By Siddhesh Gawd

Siddhesh Gawd, an award-winning tattoo artist, inked Tilak.

In 2022, he was smitten by the work of Aliens Tatto Banglore Studio where he had gotten portraits of his parents as a heartfelt tribute to them.

During his time there, he observed the outstanding work being done by Siddhesh Gawde, one of their award-winning tattoo artists, while he was working on another client’s leg sleeve. Tilak was inspired by their initial encounter and was keen to have Siddhesh perform the complete arm sleeve.

Siddhesh was joined by another Senior Designer for a consultation, where they sat down and decided on a unique custom design created just for the tattoo sleeve.

Tilak, who comes from a very spiritual family, wanted to acquire tattoos that would represent his devotion and beliefs.

His sleeve tattoo had six more parts in total, all of which were tailored to Tilak’s preferences and emphasised creative excellence.

Lord Shiva’s Tattoo

Varma is an ardent believer in Lord Shiva and wanted his belief and devotion to reflect in his tattoo. Shiva’s tattoo on his bicep represents devotion, spirituality, and personal growth. In the tattoo, each feature represents a different aspect, such as wisdom, spiritual awakening, cosmic rhythm, and the balance between creation and destruction.

The design was put together by Sameer with helpful suggestions from Sunny Bhanushali, our professional artist and the founder and CEO of Aliens Tattoo. The result is an eye-catching and spiritually meaningful piece of art.

Lord Ganesha’s Tattoo

On the second day, full of spiritual fervour and awe, he got his second portrait tattoo, which is of Lord Ganesha. The Ganesha tattoo has significant cultural meaning. Before starting or doing anything new and major, people seek Lord Ganesha’s blessings and ask for his advice in order to overcome difficulties and hurdles in their lives.

Om Namah Shivay’s Tattoo

In Hinduism, Om Namah Shivay is a sacred chant recited and revered by devotees of Lord Shiva. The Supreme Being is associated with creation, preservation, and destruction.

It represents the eternal, unchanging essence that transcends time and space. Devendra Palav, a multi-award-winning tattoo artist known for his skill with elaborate script tattoos, took it upon himself to ensure the chest tattoo would be executed correctly.

Hibiscus Bunch

A few hibiscus blossoms are placed on Tilak’s inner forearm. It’s an alluring flower with symbolic meaning in many different cultures, signifying femininity, elegance, beauty, and spiritual significance. In Hinduism, red hibiscus flowers are frequently offered to Lord Ganesha; thus, the flower was positioned on his inner forearm.

A stunning design of mountainous scenery on his inner bicep with the words “Unwavering Self Trust” beneath it perfectly depicts his tenacity and can-do attitude.

Trigger’s Tattoo

On his side leg is a stunning tattoo of Tilak Varma’s cherished pet dog, Trigger. Trigger was Tilak’s first pet, and the link between them is something genuinely precious; therefore, this unusual tattoo occupies a particular place in his heart.

None other than Allan Gois, a multi-award-winning tattoo artist at Aliens Tattoo who specialises in pet images, completed this tattoo.
