Three Pines Season 2: Alfred Molina Hints At the Future Of Detective Drama
The focus is shifting to whether Three Pines will return to Prime Video for season 2 as each episode of the murder mystery thriller slowly draws to a close.

Even though Amazon hasn’t yet announced a second season of Three Pines, there is one aspect that favours the show’s renewal. That is, there are a massive 18 books in Louise Penny’s Gamache novel series, so the writers of the show won’t be short of material.
Only one of the four mysteries, The Cruellest Month, is named after one of Penny’s books, as we saw in season 1. Thus, the writers of Three Pines have already invented their own puzzles for Armand Gamache to solve.
Plot Story Of Three Pines
On Friday, December 2, 2022, Three Pines made its Amazon Prime Video debut. Chief Inspector Armand Gamache is hired to look into a number of crimes in the scenic Quebec community of Three Pines. This television series is based on the novelist Louise Penny’s book series.
Despite its bucolic and alluring setting, the town has recently been the scene of a number of gruesome murders. Gamache and his team must struggle to win over the quirky locals in order to unearth the sinister secrets that are concealed beneath the surface.
Gamache must solve a seemingly endless series of murders. However, he also must deal with the unresolved case of a young indigenous girl whose disappearance was not thoroughly looked into.
Alfred Molina Suggests A Three Pines Season 2 Debut
Amazon has not yet formally approved a second season of the detective drama Three Pines, whose first season is currently in progress. However, the series’ star Alfred Molina has already hinted that a season 2 of Three Pines is in the works. The actor made a suggestion that there would be additional episodes when he spoke to Broadcast earlier in 2022.
The actor explained that the story is character-driven rather than event-driven. “I’ve read some scripts, and [in next episodes] we’re pushing Gamache’s character a little bit further.”
Furthermore, Molina continued, “Gamache is the best part I’ve ever had on television because of all his paradoxes. He is a man of taste, but I believe he is a little snobby.” He seems to have endless tolerance with those who don’t quite follow his instructions exactly, but he also takes the time to explain where they are making a mistake.
After making its debut on Friday, December 2, 2022, Three Pines is currently accessible to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
