Before they signed up with AEW, The Young Bucks were known for their time in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and Ring of Honor (ROH). They were members of the NJPW faction Bullet Club and later in 2018, formed The Elite with Kenny Omega, Adam Page, Cody Rhodes and Marty Scurll.
They have a great record on the independent circuit as well, having worked for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). In the latter, they wrestled as Generation Me under the ring names Max and Jeremy Buck. They have numerous titles and are the only team to win PWG’s annual Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament thrice and win all the three team championships of NJPW together.
