The 11th edition of the World Games, which will take place in 2022, is a continuing international multi-sport competition for sports, disciplines, or events that were not competed in the Olympic Games. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games have moved the World Games 2022 from their intended July 2021 date to July 7–17, 2022 in Birmingham, Alabama, United States of America. The International World Games Association announced Birmingham, Alabama, as the host city on January 22, 2015. There will be 30 sanctioned sports in 54 disciplines competed in 30 sites in the Birmingham region. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated there to help reconstruct sporting venues.

In July 2022, the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex in Birmingham, Alabama, in the United States, will host the cue sports competition for the 2022 World Games. The Games, which were initially slated to take place in July 2021, have been moved to July 2022 as a result of the 2020 Summer Olympics being postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the World Games 2022, which are slated to take place from July 7 to July 17 in Birmingham, USA, a total of 14 athletes will represent India. In 54 disciplines, 30 official sports will be played at 30 locations in the Birmingham area during the 11th World Games. Muskan Kirar and Avneet Kaur will be competing in women’s compound archery. Meanwhile, Pankaj Advani, India’s best billiards player and 24-time world champion, will be seen in action in the 15-red snooker competition.

The sport or discipline that was not featured at the Olympic Games is organized for individuals, teams, or both during the World Games. Since the World Games began in 1981, India has taken part in them and has won four medals: one gold, one silver, and two bronze.
