The Tour will return to The Winchester Snooker Club in Wigston, Leicestershire, for the last World Women’s Snooker (WWS) ranking tournament of the season, which also hosted the British Women’s Open in January.
2022 Winchester Women’s Open Players List and Divisions
The main championship will be contested by 34 of the world’s greatest women players, with top three Reanne Evans, Ng On Yee, and freshly crowned world champion Nutcharut Wongharuthai all competing for the second time this season.
Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan of Thailand, winner of the Women’s World Cup and World Championship semi-finalist on her previous Tour appearance in June 2019, will also compete. Under-21 and Seniors players will compete in separate tournaments, with Steph Daughtery and Chloe White poised to compete in their final junior competitions before turning 21 this summer.
2022 Winchester Women’s Open Snooker Schedule, Date, Time Venue, Rules, Format
The 2022 Winchester Women’s Open will be held from April 2nd to 3rd, with the Tour returning to Leicestershire’s Winchester Snooker Club for the season finale. The scheduled venue for the tournament is The Winchester Snooker Club, Wigston, England .
The top two rated players were seeded into the final 16 stage. The remaining 32 players have been divided into eight groups of four players each. Each group’s top two players will advance to the knockout stage. The top eight group winners and four runner-ups advance directly to the final 16. On Saturday evening, the remaining four players will compete in a preliminary round match for the final two spots.
According to stated qualifying criteria, all qualifiers from the group stages will be placed in the knockout draw based on their performance in the group rounds. Group matches will be best of three frames, with knockout rounds being best of five or best of seven frames.
