The director of the anime adaptation of The Vampire Dies in No Time has hinted that there will “certainly be a next time” ahead of season 3.
The conclusion of the 2023 Winter anime slate can be a source of relief or anxiety for fans who are concerned about the future of their favorite series.
This includes the supernatural comedy The Vampire Dies in No Time, which had its season 2 finale on Crunchyroll yesterday, March 27.
While we wait for an official announcement about The Vampire Dies in No Time season 3, all signs point to the anime returning for more hilarious fun – here’s everything fans need to know.
The Vampire Dies in No Time season 3 renewal status and release date prediction
As previously stated, Season 3 of The Vampire Dies in No Time has not yet been publicly renewed; however, it should only be a matter of time before the anime returns to our screens.
Following the season 2 episode 12 finale, director Hiroshi Kojina stated on Twitter, “There will undoubtedly be a next time,” but added, “Even if I’m not the director, please wait because everyone is so passionate about it.”
The good news is that even without this tease from director Kojina, The Vampire Dies in No Time will almost certainly return for a third season. This is due to the fact that not only is there plenty more source material available for the series, but the anime should also be popular enough to warrant another broadcast.
The Vampire Dies in No Time season 2 finale ended by covering up until roughly the end of Volume 14 – which was published in Japan in December 2019.
Fans of the show will be pleased to know that 24 complete Tankobon volumes of the original manga have been published in Japan.
This means that not only is there enough source material for season 3 right away, but also for a fourth season if the manga maintains its current release schedule through 2023.
Unfortunately, mangaka Itaru Bonnoki recently revealed that the series will be on hold for the March and April 2023 issues of Weekly Shonen Champion due to the author’s deteriorating health; however, the manga will resume in May.
Surprisingly, some fans believe that The Vampire Dies in No Time season 3 will be announced in the summer.
The only problem here Is that Studio Madhouse’s current 2023 schedule includes four major productions: Sousou no Frieren, The Gene of AI, Loving Yamada at Lv999, and Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom.
Overall, given the availability of source material and Studio Madhouse’s current lineup, fans can expect The Vampire Dies in No Time season 3 to arrive in either April or July 2024.
