What was Grandfather Paradox in Season 3?

Many fans of Umbrella Academy are also curious about Grandfather Paradox. Its term comes from a case analysis that details a situation with a child who despises his granddad in the Commission book. The kid travels back in time to kill his grandfather. As he blames him for everything that has gone wrong in his lifetime.

The only issue is that he travels too far back through time and murders the kid before his grandpa’s child, who is also his mom, was born; as a result, the boy doesn’t exist in this current interpretation of history. So, now that the child himself does not exist how can he kill his grandfather which leads to the term Grandfather Paradox.
