Andrew Hoy, 62 โ Australia
Equestrian – Eventing Team & Eventing Individual
The equestrian veteran made his 8th Olympic appearance at the Tokyo Games, a record for any Australian athlete. The Aussie rider rod his horse Vassily de Lassos at the Games. The three-time Olympic champion competed in both events in Tokyo.
At 62, he became Australiaโs oldest medalist after winning two medals at Tokyo, silver in the team eventing competition along with Shane Rose and Kevin McNab and claimed bronze as he finished third in the individual event. With this, his Olympic medal tally up to 6: three gold, two silver, and one bronze.

Abdullah Al-Rashidi, 57 โ Kuwait
Shooting – Menโs Skeet
The shooter from Kuwait competing at his 7th Olympic appearance in Tokyo repeated his performance from Rio 2016 as he clinched a bronze medal in the menโs skeet event on 26th July at the Asaka Shooting Range. He hit 46 of 60 targets in the final and sealed the third-place position.
The three-time world champion made his Olympic debut at Atlanta in 1996 and overall has won two Olympic medals- both bronze.
Steffen Peters, 56 โ United States of Americaย
Equestrian – Dressage Team
Born in 1964, the 56-year-old competed at his 5th Olympics in Tokyo and bettered his previous performance of Rio 2016 by winning silver in the team dressage event for the USA at Tokyo 2020.
The three-time Olympic medalist with 2 bronze and 1 silver began riding when he was seven. He rode on Suppenkasper at the Games. Peters and team members, Adrienne Lyle and Sabine Schut-Kery finished at second-place with a total team score of 7747.0.
Laura Kraut, 55 โ United States of America
Equestrian – Jumping Team
The oldest female medalist at Tokyo Games was the 55-year-old American marking her 3rd Olympic appearance, who won silver in the Jumping Team event. With that, she became the oldest American woman since 1904 to win a medal at the Olympics. Kraut competed at the Games with her horse Baloutinue.
The American team were tied in first place with Sweden and had to compete in a jump-off where they settled with the silver medal. Her previous Olympic appearance was at the Beijing 2008 Olympics where she won gold in the same event.

Carl Hester, 54 โ Great Britain
Equestrian – Dressage Team
The British rider born in 1967 took home bronze as a part of Great Britainโs dressage team at Tokyo. He competed at his sixth Games at this yearโs Tokyo Olympics. With this medal, his overall Olympic medal tally is three: 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze. En Vogue was his horse at the Games.
The 54-year-old along with his teammates Charlotte Fry and Charlotte Dujardin was ranked third with a total point of 7723.0 in the Grand Prix Special.

Sabine Schut-Kery, 52 โ United States of Americaย
Equestrian – Dressage Team
The 52-year-old made her Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in style as she helped the USA Dressage Team clinch the silver medal. She partnered with Sanceo in Tokyo at her first-ever Olympics.
At her maiden Olympics, she and Sanceo played a crucial role in securing the team silver. Sabine Schut-Kery was the second oldest in the American dressage team after Steffen Peters in Tokyo.
Dorothee Schneider, 52 โ Germany
Equestrian – Dressage Team
At the age of 52, the German dressage rider became the oldest Olympic champion at the 2020 Tokyo Games. She won gold in the dressage team discipline with teammates Isabell Werth and Jessica von Bredow-Werndl.
Dorothee competed at the Games with her horse, Showtime FRH. Born in 1969, Dorothee Schneider made her third Olympic appearance at Tokyo 2020 and overall has won 3 Olympic medals (all team) – silver in 2012 London, gold in 2016 Rio and gold in 2020 Tokyo.
Isabell Werth, 52 โ Germany
Equestrian – Dressage Team & Dressage Individual
The 52-year-old German has won two medals at Tokyo Olympics, a gold in team and silver in individual dressage events. She played at her sixth Olympic Games and is the most decorated & successful equestrian rider. After her two recent Olympic medals, she has a record haul of 12 Olympic medals – 7 Gold and 5 Silver.
Isabell Werth competed at the Tokyo Olympics with Bella Rose 2. And in the dressage team competition, the German Team bagged the gold with a total point of 8178.0 in the final. Isabell Werth finished second in the dressage individual discipline behind fellow teammate Jessica von Bredow-Werndl.
Peder Fredricson, 49 โ Sweden
Equestrian – Jumping Team & Jumping Individual
The 49-year-old Swedish rider won gold in team jumping and silver in the individual jumping competition at Tokyo. At the Games, Peder Fredricson competed with his horse All In.
Team Sweden consisting of Fredricson, Henrik von Eckermann and Malin Baryard-Johnsson won Gold in Jumping after a jump-off with the USA as they were tied for 1st place. In the individual event, he finished 2nd. With this, his Olympic medals have tallied up to four – 1 Gold and 3 Silver.
Shane Rose, 48 โ Australia
Equestrian – Eventing Team
The Australian equestrian, age 48, made his 3rd Olympic appearance after the 2008 & 2016 editions of the Games. The Aussie with his horse Virgil competed at Tokyo 2020.
Shane Rose was in the same Eventing Team as Andrew Hoy that won the silver medal for Australia in Tokyo. With this, he has overall 3 Olympic medals: 2 Silver and 1 Bronze.
