The musician passed away at the age of 63.
The tragic news of the singer’s demise was confirmed by his bandmates of the Specials.

The bandmates of the Hall took to their Twitter and penned down, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, following a brief illness, of Terry, our beautiful friend, brother and one of the most brilliant singers, songwriters and lyricists this country has ever produced.”

Their statement continued, “Terry was a wonderful husband and father and one of the kindest, funniest, and most genuine of souls.”
The bandmates asked their fans for moments of privacy for Hall’s family. He died after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
Who was Terry Hall?
For those who are unfamiliar with Terry Hall, let us tell you, Hall whose full name is Terence Edward Hall, was an English musician and the main singer of the Specials Band, which was also known as formerly of Fun Boy Three, the Colourfield, Terry, Blair & Anouchka, and Vegas.
The singer was born in Coventry, England on March 19, 1959. For those who are unversed, let us tell you, the musician was abducted by a Pedophile ring on a trip to France.
The singer dropped out of his school before he turned 15. Later, he started working for various short term jobs including bricklayer, quantity surveyor, and apprentice hairdresser.
In 1970, Hall became an active member of the Coventry music scene playing in a local punk band called Squad.
At first he became the frontman of Coventry Automatics in 1977 to 78. A year later, he went on and joined Specials.
The musician rose to fame in 1979 when the BBC Radio 1 network played Specials’ debut single Gangsters on their show.
The singer is survived by his wife, Lindy Heymann, who’s widely known director. The duo shared a son. Hall has also had 2 older sons with his former wife, Jeanette Hall. His net worth stood at $5 million.
