As soon as Netflix revealed the release date for The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 2, fans of the series began sharing the good news on various social media channels.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh part 2 is all set to release on August 8, 2023.
Along with the sequel’s plot details, Netflix also shared several key images from the future movie. Holy Knight Deathpierce, of the Pleiades of the Azure Sky, serving under Assistant Great Holy Knight Denzel Liones, was prominently featured in these depictions. The main images also featured Lancelot, Ban, and Elaine’s son. Tristan Liones, Meliodas, and Elizabeth Liones’s son, was also included in the pictures. Lancelot and Deathpierce are shown fighting alongside Tristan in the illustrations.

In the same vein as its predecessor, Alfred Imageworks and Marvy Jack’s The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 2 is animated entirely in computer-generated imagery. Noriyuki Abe, director of Bleach, Bleach the Movie: Hell Verse, The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky, and The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 1, returns to direct the sequel along with Log Horizon and Fruits Basket director Bob Shirahata.
The announcement that The Seven Deadly Sins — Grudge of Edinburgh — Part 2 would continue the story of Tristan’s quest to rescue the kingdom his parents Meliodas and Elizabeth Liones fought so hard for thrilled fans of the Seven Deadly Sins series.
The Plot
Since the Kingdom of Liones vanquished the Demon Clan and established peace in the country, 14 years have passed. Both the Demon Clan strength of his father, Meliodas, who commanded the Seven Deadly Sins as the Dragon Sin of Wrath, and the Goddess Clan power of his mother, Elizabeth, plague Prince Tristan.
Tristan leaves the kingdom when he learns that Elizabeth’s life is in danger, heading toward Edinburgh, where Deathpierce resides in his castle. Deathpierce is a former member of the Holy Knights of the kingdom, the Pleiades of the Azure Sky. But what exactly are Deathpierce’s goals?
