2022 Rugby Championship Latest Results, Upcoming Schedule, Date, Time, Venue, Format, And Title Favorite
Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa are competing in the tenth iteration of the annual southern hemisphere tournament known as the Rugby Championship in 2022. After being interrupted by COVID-19 in 2020 and 2021, the competition is once again taking place in all participating countries. However, the league has been reorganized for the first time since Argentina joined, with each team playing both home and away matches. Three games will be held in each nation, although not equally among the contending countries.
With Jordie Barrett’s 81st-minute touchdown, New Zealand grabbed a contentious 39-37 victory over Australia to take the lead in the Rugby Championship title-race. After falling behind by 18 points, Australia battled back to take the lead on Nic White’s long-range penalty in the 77th minute but suffered heartbreak after New Zealand scored in the closing moments. In the other fifth-round encounter, Argentina will compete against the defending world champions South Africa on Saturday.
