“The Rock vs Roman Reigns Is Something WWE Is Building”, Analyst Dave Meltzer Says The Fight Could Happen In WWE WrestleMania

WWE analyst Dave Meltzer mentioned that The Rock vs Roman Reigns is a dream match which the company is still planning as a potential WrestleMania feud

The Rock and Roman Reigns are two of the most legendary WWE superstars who have not only become household names but have proved themselves to earn every accolade which led to it. And what’s fun is that the two ripped Samoans are cousins. So clearly, their fans are not the only ones dying to see them get it on in the ring but also the company itself.

Is The Rock vs Roman Reigns Likely To Happen In WWE WrestleMania?

In the recent Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed The Rock’s desire to face Roman Reigns and how soon WWE will likely be able to work that out. “Obviously The Rock & Roman Reigns is something that they’re building towards and it would be — every year gets tougher and tougher because Dwayne gets a year older and, you know, but I think he really wants to do a match against Roman Reigns. I think for sure it’ll be in next two WrestleManias, and if he can pull it off, the next WrestleMania.”

The Grandest Stage of Them All is definitely the appropriate setting for this dream match. But there’s a possibility for the build-up to begin at Survivor Series this year. Meltzer had reported that WWE is hoping for The Rock to return at Survivor Series 2021.

WWE The Rock Return

The fans, the company and even Dwayne himself want to see this dream match against The Big dog happen before The Brahma Bull leaves the squared-circle for real. Both stars have teased the same on multiple occasions. With the entire ‘Head of the Table’ gimmick going on, it’s just fitting for The Rock to return and have an electrifying feud against Roman Reigns, possibly ending with Reigns retiring him from in-ring competition.

The Rock last appeared for WWE on the 20th-anniversary episode of SmackDown on October 4, 2019. He had shared the ring with Becky Lynch. His last WWE match took place at WrestleMania 32 where he defeated Erick Rowan in six seconds.
