John Morrison has been seen rolling down his tag team partner The Miz in a wheelchair in recent episodes of WWE Raw, read on to know the veteran superstar’s injury update
Both, WWE superstars and their fans are pumped up for the return of WWE live events from 16th July after months of fighting from the WWE virtual bubble called The Thunderdome. While The Miz expressed his excitement over the return of fans to the arenas, he also confirmed that he would not be able to make it to Northeast Ohio’s SmackDown LIVE edition on 23rd July due to his injury. Read on to know what led to the A-lister being injured.
WWE Raw Live Updates: The Miz Injury Update
The two-time Grand Slam Champion sustained the injury during a pay-per-view match in May 2021. He had been wrestling with Damian Priest in a Lumberjack Match at WrestleMania Backlash when the unfortunate incident happened and he suffered a serious ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) injury. Though it’s a common one in sports, reports suggested that Miz would be out of action for nine months.
But while discussing his injury with Forbes’ Alfred Konuwa, he said that he was on Monday Night RAW last week and plans on doing so the next week, as well. As for when he will have a real match, he does not know. “That’s for the doctors to decide and figure out. But I feel like a million bucks, and the way my headspace is, I don’t like to be gone for long,” he concluded.

Despite his injury, the eight-time Intercontinental Champion has continued to entertain fans through his regular appearances, where he is seen rolling around the ring in a wheelchair. Last week, he had distracted Randy Orton in his MITB qualifying match against John Morrison, by spraying water in The Viper’s eyes. In doing so, he helped his partner Morrison advance to the Ladder Match.
This week on Raw, he came to John Morrison’s aid again during his match against Ricochet. Though he made a lot of attempts to help Morrison win, the odds were evened when Riddle came down the aisle to aid Ricochet who would finally go ahead to win the match.
