One of the most eagerly awaited video games of the past ten years was The Last of Us Part II, which was inspired by the previous game’s phenomenal success and critical acclaim.
Many gamers thought the second game was a decent sequel to what is regarded as one of the greatest matches ever developed. Even though some fans were unhappy with the tale.

In the second game, Ellie had to deal with her relationship with her girlfriend Dina as well as her desire for vengeance for Joel’s murder. Those who played the game will be aware that there were several loose ends. Dina flees after Ellie disregarded her pleas to stay and Ellie let Abby survive.
Are there any The Last of Us Part 3 rumours or leaks?
Neil Druckmann, Part II’s creative director did formally acknowledge in April 2021 that he had written a plot summary for a third game. It’s not currently under development though with a likely date years away at the moment.
The Last of Us Part III: The Fall is one of the current projects Naughty Dog is actively working on. According to Oops Leaks, a reliable information leaker. “The script’s general outline is complete, but the studio is heavily invested in the advancement of the aforementioned projects.”
They continue by saying: “It is possible that development could begin sooner than projected due to [the] studio’s expansion,” which only confirms what we previously know.
It would seem natural for a third game to continue Ellie’s narrative, possibly focusing on her friendship with Dina. Ellie may still change her mind about her forgiving actions at the end of Part II. But Abby’s participation would not be guaranteed.

Fans of the series should be quite happy that Druckmann has taken the time to plot the third book in the series.
The first game was released in 2013, and the sequel was confirmed in 2016 and released in 2020. Therefore, even a formal announcement looks far off.
