After four years of the leap, we see Ma Du-sik and Bae Eun-l jeon’s lavish wedding in the year 2026. As they go down the aisle, Sang-su, the speaker, introduces them both. After four years of parting ways and reuniting, it appears the couple is finally on the right track. The familiar bank employees are there, and the KCU coworkers catch up on their recent activities. Yuk retired, making Noh the new Branch Manager, while Sang-su was appointed Assistant Manager.
Mi-gyeong, who enters and encounters Gyeong-pil and reveals that she is currently employed at HQ, avoids Sang-su on purpose. Given that she has a new boyfriend and Sang-su is having trouble finding a partner who shares his interests. She appears to be entirely over him as well.
Sang Su and Su Yeong meet each other again
Sang- Su’s blind date goes horribly wrong as she spends the entire time talking about her ex. Later, Su-Yeong agrees once again when Sang-su offers her another chance and asks if she would want to meet him the next morning. The next day, Sang-su seems to be under pressure at work to arrive on time for his date with Su-Yeong. He is so concerned about leaving on time that he uses his money to balance the accounts.
He was late at the beginning of this series, but this time, the storyline comes full circle as he arrives on time to see her. Su-Yeong thinks she has nothing more to give or receive when Sang-su questions her about why she never contacted him again in the past.
Does The Interest of Love Kdrama have a happy ending?
No, the popular Korean series The Interest of Love has a sad ending as Su-Yeong and Sang-su have their regrets and hoped things had worked out. Su-Yeong returned to the previous school, determined to eat their famed pork cutlets. Sang-su attempts in despair to gain some answers from her, but all she gives him are half-truths and misleading misdirections.
Sang-su gives a lot of hypothetical scenarios regarding their time together, feeling that things may have turned out differently if he had been more active. Su-Yeong also regrets not being entirely honest, having separated herself from him all this time while having a deep affection for him.
The two really talk openly about how their relationship may have developed while accepting their own feelings. As the show comes to a close, Sang-su and Su-Yeong exchange affectionate glances and continue to walk. However, this time there was no goodbye between the couple which leaves many possibilities for their future. Even though the series was toxic and did not give the viewers a happy ending, it surely teaches us many lessons. It’s better to have the courage and clear the misunderstandings than regret the choice for your entire life.
