Netflix has planned The Gray Man sequel, with Ryan Gosling reprising his role as the Sierra Six, know the likely release date of part 2
According to the OTT platform and the Russo Brothers, a spin-off is also in the works.
Even before Netflix announces the opening-weekend viewership of its latest movie, Gray Man, the platform seems to be going all in on the Gray Man Cinematic Universe, despite a mixed-to-negative critical response.

The movie came out on the platform on July 22nd, 2022, one week after its box office release on July 15th,2022 and its sequel has already been announced. Netflix spent over 200 million dollars on this spy movie created by Russo Brothers. It is so far, the most expensive film on Netflix.
All we know about the Gray Man Sequel
The Russo Brothers have officially confirmed a sequel to their previous film, The Gray Man, starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, and Dhanush.
They confirmed that Ryan would resume his role as CIA mercenary Court Gentry aka Sierra Six in the franchise’s second episode. At a press event in Mumbai last week, Joe Russo promised that Dhanush would be a part of the franchise in the future.
While announcing the sequel, Russo Brothers said, “The audience reaction to The Gray Man has been nothing short of phenomenal. We are so appreciative of the enthusiasm that fans across the world have had for this film. With so many amazing characters in the movie, we had always intended for the Gray Man to be part of an expanded universe, and we are thrilled that Netflix is announcing a sequel with Ryan, as well as a second script that we’re excited to talk about soon.”
There is no update on when part 2 will be released.
Grey Man’s Plot
The film is based on Mark Greaney’s 2009 novel, Grey Man. There have been 11 novels published in The Gray Man series to date, so there was always the prospect of a sequel. The finale of the first film also provided room for the plot to be continued in future films.
The official synopsis of the movie reads, “When the CIA’s top asset — his identity known to no one — uncovers agency secrets, he triggers a global hunt by assassins set loose by his ex-colleague.”
