It’s Anime Time! The 1990s Japanese sports manga, Slam Dunk, which was quite popular till 1996 is once again all set to hit our screens, know the release date of the movie, The First Slam Dunk
The basketball anime series which is created by TMS Entertainment, a subsidiary of a Japanese film studio, Toei Company Ltd, will be hitting our screens soon.
The classical anime series will be turning into a modern version of classic film titled The First Slam Dunk, with its main characters Harukaze Tenma and Sugawara Minoru.

Previously, we saw the production staff being all silent about the plot details and not to leak or spoil anything for those who haven’t read the manga and have now released the trailer of the film.
The production house has finally released the trailer of the much-awaited anime series while adapting many manga scenes into CG animation. The film is all set to be released this year.
Release Date of The First Slam Dunk Movie?
The First Slam Dunk film is all set to hit big screens on December 3rd via regular and IMAX screenings.
However, the aforesaid release date is for Japan. As of now, for the international release, the production house hasn’t updated anything.
The full trailer of the series, which was released on November 4, has revealed much about the plot and its characters.
The trailer takes us back to introduce Haruko Akagi who’s seen practicing a song while sitting on the beach.
In another scene, children are shown practising while Shลhoku seemed to be standing in an open space which looked to be ready for the game.
After looking at the trailer, we can say the film seems to be fresh and different from its previous versions as it gives both new audio and visuals.
The movie will be the first gift since 1996, and after judging the trailer, we can assure you it’ll be a hella great ride as it’s an updated approach of the franchise.
Cast of the The First Slam Dunk
The First Slam Dunk will be seeing some new diverse cast as many known personalities have given their voice including:
Subaru Kimura as Hanamichi Sakuragi,
Shinโichirล Kamio as Kaede Rukawa,
Kenta Miyake as the captain of the team,
Takenori Akagi Shugo Nakamuracast as Ryota Miyagi and
Jun Kasama as Hisashi Mitsui.
The movie is written and directed by the original Slam Dunk manga artist Takehiko Inoue alongside Toei Animation and Dandelion Animation Studio, which is a CG company, who will be producing the film.
The cinematography is handled by Shunsuke Nakamura while editing is done by Ryลซichi Takita. The music of the film is given by Satoshi Takebe along with Takuma Mitamura.
The Japanese film is said to be 124 minutes long.
