“Yes, we have been renewed for season 5, and Netflix has picked up the entire narrative of The Dragon Prince,” the show’s creator said via Comic-Con International YouTube, Aaron Ehasz.
In a subsequent interview with IGN, Ehasz confirmed this and said, “We’re striving to be a special location where artists, writers, and programmers can be part of visionary teams who are producing something they believe in and are proud of.”
“We are incredibly grateful to the community and fans who have supported the show with such fervour, and after season 3, the upsurge in enthusiasm and love for it. The volume of online discussion and artwork, and the people who really, eloquently expressed their desire for a continuation of this story to Netflix, were so moving,” via Comic-Con International YouTube, Aaron Ehasz.

The popular animated series The Dragon Prince on Netflix has already been renewed for seasons 5, 6, and 7—great news for fans! In the “Zoom Into Xadia” panel at Comic-Con 2020, co-creator Aaron Ehasz confirmed that the streaming giant had picked up the series for its complete saga.
The Dragon Prince will have a total of 63 episodes up until the season 7 finale, with seasons 5, 6, and 7 each having nine episodes, according to reports. While a release date for season 5 is yet to be revealed, it is likely to be sometime in mid 2023.
