The Curse Of Bridge Hollow Age Rating And Parental Guide

“The Curse of Bridge Hollow” has a TV-14 rating in the US, which means that it may not be suitable for children who are 14 years or below.

However, it got a 12 rating in the UK. The 12 rating, which is technically a 12A, as people in the UK are aware, allows children under 12 to view the movie provided they are accompanied by an adult. This is because the rating is advisory, thus the A.

According to Netflix Life, the film received this rating due to some foul language that was present throughout the movie.

There are certainly some aspects of horror, but nothing extremely frightening for younger children. Although there are many enjoyable jumpscares, the directors have adopted a more humorous approach to the humor, and the genre components can be seen as whimsical rather than menacing.

Regarding jumpscares, Jeff recently talked openly about directing test screenings with ScreenRant. He said,

… we actually did at-home test screenings where hundreds of people are watching the movie, and we can watch them on their computer camera while they’re watching it, which is surreal. And so you try to figure out where the jumpscares are landing and how you can change them and attenuate the moment.

He added,

Ultimately you just don’t know until you get the feedback. So it’s very satisfying for me to hear that we got you so many times.
