It is expected that Manchester City’s Erling Haaland will emerge victorious in the 2023 FIFA Men’s Player Championship, defeating both Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé, as per AS outlet.

1. Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland excelled for Manchester City as Pep Guardiola’s squad won the FA Cup, Premier League, and Champions League in 2023; a feat only Manchester United, another English team, has achieved since 1999.

The Norwegian finished 2022–2023 as the Premier League and Champions League’s top scorer after scoring 28 goals in 33 games for City during the Best Men’s Player qualifying season.

2. Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi was the winner of the eighth Ballon d’Or between these two players. In addition to winning the World Cup, Ligue 1, and other competitions, he led Inter Miami to their first-ever championship. But despite this, he is not a favourite in front of the player from Norway.

3. Kylian Mbappe

Not to mention when it’s Kylian Mbappe, anyone who hat-trick in the World Cup final deserves to be nominated for an award and to be a heavy favourite. Netting three goals in the footballing major final isn’t a joke.

The Frenchman scored 41 goals for PSG in all competitions last season, helping them win Ligue 1, despite having yet another disappointing Champions League campaign.

Women’s Player

Spain star Aitana Bonmati won the 2023 Ballon d’Or Feminin and she is predicted to win the FIFA The Best ‘double’ ahead of teammate Jenni Hermoso.
