What Exactly Happened in Episode 7 of The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2
The seventh episode opened with Chise and her pals participating in the day’s Physical Education class activity: rock climbing. As this was going on, Elias and Adolf had a chat after the latter recognized that, despite feeling a tinge of anguish, he takes pleasure in Chise’s happiness when it is shared with others.
The program then shifted its emphasis to Philomela Sargent, who was shown to have come from an abusive household and was only able to enroll in the College thanks to Veronica Rickenbacker’s intervention. Here, the episode focused on Alice Swayne as well, establishing her renewed focus on her schoolwork after an encouraging talk with her teacher, Renfred. The two then went inside Renfred’s office, where he got intoxicated and told Adolf his side of the story.
The show then followed the pupils on their first official school excursion, a camping trip to Scotland where they would be introduced to Bushcraft. Lucy and Chise set off on foot upon their arrival in search of water and fuel. But it turned out that something was following them from the neighboring bushes, and they had no idea.
