However, the absence of non-elimination legs and the fierce competition have made The Amazing Race 34 all about having little breathing room. And that was evident in the last part of the season, where the three surviving teams remained competitive the whole time they were in Nashville.
But one team’s victory over the other was finally determined by a memory exercise with a musical theme. While many people still haven’t watched the finale, we have already got word about the winner.
So, let’s find out more about who won the Amazing Race 34 Finale title and a million-dollar prize:
Who Won At The Amazing Race 34 Finale?
The season 34 winners are Derek Xiao & Claire Rehfuss. After all of that, it makes sense why Derek & Claire were the early favorites going into the finale. They were the first team to cross the finish line in front of the nine eliminated teams, host Phil Keoghan, and other teams. Phil then delivered his well-known speech, saying,
“Twenty-three days. Eight countries. Sixteen cities. Derek and Claire, I am pleased to tell you that you are the official winners of The Amazing Race!”
Derek and Claire, who were understandably moved, talked about what it meant to them to win. However, Derek, ever the prankster, claimed that he was about to pop the question.
The runners-up were Emily and Molly. They sobbed as well because of their touching tale and the significance of this voyage to them after living separate lives. Luis and Michelle finally took third place and were appreciative of the experience.
Prize Money Won By Winners
The winners of the show won prize money of about $1 million.
