The tennis fever is set to sweep across India as the Tennis Premier League returns with its much-anticipated season 5 2023 know the schedule, date, venue, and live telecast details
The fifth season of the Tennis Premier League (TPL), is set to kick off on December 12, 2023, with the grand finale scheduled for December 17.

All eight teams will play four matches each to qualify for the semi-final and each match will have a total of 4 games – Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Mixed Doubles and Men’s Doubles. Each game in the fixture will be worth 20 points, making each game worth 80 points and each team will play a total of 320 points (80 points x 4 matches) at the league stage. The top 4 teams in the points table will qualify for the semi-finals and one player can only play two games in every match.
The TPL features eight dynamic teams, each with a unique identity, battling it out for the coveted title. The teams include Pune Jaguars, Mumbai Leon Army, Delhi Binny’s Brigade, Gujarat Panthers, Punjab Tigers, Bengal Wizards, Hyderabad Strikers, and Bengaluru Spartans.

This season, the TPL boasts a roster of renowned personalities and sports icons associated with the franchises. Names like Taapsee Pannu, Sonu Sood, Sonali Bendre, Leander Paes, and Sania Mirza bring glamour and star power to the league.
Top Indian tennis talents like Sumit Nagal, the current AITA Number 1, are set to make a mark. Nagal became the most expensive player at the auction, signing up with the Gujarat Panthers.
Joining him are Hangzhou Asian Games silver medalists, Ramkumar Ramanathan, and Saketh Myneni, playing for Bengaluru SG Mavericks and Hyderabad Strikers, respectively.
Adding international flair to the league are former World No. 10 Ernests Gulbis and former World No. 26 Lukas Rosol, representing Mumbai Leon Army and Pune Jaguars.
Meanwhile, Maria Timofeeva, the current World No. 125, will be seen in action for Leander Paes-backed Bengal Wizards. Dennis Novak, the highest-ranked Austrian tennis player, will lead Delhi Binny’s Brigade.
