Ten Players Who Will Be Missing IPL 2021 Resumption In UAE

The 2nd half of the IPL 2021 is scheduled to start in September later this year. These are the 10 players who will be missing the resumption of IPL 2021 in the UAE

The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League was postponed earlier this year due to India’s sudden burst of the covid-19 cases. Later, the tournament was scheduled to be played in the UAE like in 2020 to complete the remaining matches of the tournament.

The World T20 is scheduled to start in October 2021 in the UAE as well and the final of the IPL is on 10th October. Many teams will be playing bilateral series’ during that time so many players will miss the second half of IPL 2021.

Players Missing IPL 2021 Second Phase In UAE

All these players will be on national duty during September-October and will be missing the second half of the IPL 2021 because of that.

Pat Cummins

Aussie pacer Pat Cummins was the first player to pull out from the second half of IPL 2021. It was also confirmed by Dinesh Karthik after there reports in the Australian media that Cummins will not return for IPL 2021.

Steve Smith

Steven Smith is currently nursing his elbow injury. He might even skip the World T20 to stay refreshed for the Ashes 2021 and that rules the probability of him rejoining the Delhi Capitals for the remaining part of IPL 2021.

English wicket-keeper batsman Buttler is one of the many English players who’ll miss the resumption of IPL 2021. England will be touring Bangladesh and the ECB said that the English players won’t get the NOC to play in any domestic league during that time.

Ben Stokes

Star English all-rounder Ben Stokes will miss the second half of IPL 2021 due to national commitments. The all-rounder has recovered from an injury recently and will also play a key role in England’s campaign in the World T20.

Johnny Bairstow

Johnny Bairstow from SRH will be another English player to miss IPL 2021 in UAE due to England’s tour of Bangladesh. Bairstow was one of the few players who did well for SRH in the first half of IPL 2021.

Sam Curran

Sam Curran was brilliant for the Chennai Super Kings. He’s also amongst the English players who are expected to miss the IPL 2021 once it resumes. The English all-rounder missing the IPL will be a huge blow to the three-time champions.

Moeen Ali

IPL 2021 proved to be a potential career-changing for Moeen Ali. The all-rounder showed his class playing for CSK and is another big blow to CSK as he’s also not expected to return due to national duties.

Eoin Morgan

KKR skipper Eoin Morgan will lead the English side in the white-ball format against Bangladesh, so his return for IPL 2021 is almost equal to nil. He didn’t have a great time with the bat as well in the IPL.

Shakib Al Hasan

Shakib had to face many difficulties to get the NOC from the BCB for the IPL 2021. Now that Bangladesh is scheduled to play England Shakib’s return looks impossible.

Mustafizur Rahman

The left-arm pacer from Bangladesh won’t return for the remaining part of IPL 2021. Mustafizur performed really well in the first half of IPL 2021 for the Rajasthan Royals.
