The World 10K Bengaluru is all set to began next month. It is also known as the TCS World 10K Bengaluru because of sponsorship from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), is an annual 10 km road running competition held in Bangalore, India.
Typically taking place in late May, the competition was first staged in 2008. This year’s edition will have a new track set for the TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2024. Events of the World Athletic Gold Label Race, the TCS 10K, comprise the Open and Elite 10K, the Majja Run, the Champions with Disability, and the Silvers’ Run.

The Indian top women’s lineup will include the reigning champion Tamshi Singh and two-time winner Sanjivani Jadhav. The previous year’s runner-up in the men’s division, Harmanjot Singh, will return to competition.
A report in The Times of India suggests that The Mirchi Get Active Expo will take place at the Royal Senate, Gate No. 6, Sri Ramana Maharishi Road, Palace Ground, from April 25 to April 27.
The outlet further states that the registered runners must visit the expo in order to pick up their running bibs, take part in an exclusive runners’ meet, and benefit from incredible discounts from top sports and lifestyle brands. Here is all about the race ahead of its kick off.

This year’s event will start from Cubbon Road, which is outside the Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw Parade Ground, with over 28,000 registered runners. All competitors will gather at the Rajendra Sinhji Army Officers Institute (RSAOI) on Tuesday, the day of the race, and their post-race events will happen at the Manekshaw Ground.
World 10K Bangalore 2024 prize money: How much will the winners bag?
The winners of the race collect more Rs.25,000 for their triumphs, with a total prize fund of US$170,000. More prizes are allotted to the best Indian participants of the competition.
Winner medals will be presented to the top 3 finishers belonging to each age group of the Open 10K with the men’s and women’s winners in all ae groups receiving Rs.25,000, second place Rs.15,000 and Rs.10,000 for third place.
