Even though Oviya has deleted the comments section on the post on her Instagram, screenshots of her response were already doing the rounds on X (previously Twitter). On social media, a lot of individuals have claimed that her video is AI created an is a deepfake. Many people were astonished to see the footage when it went viral, and some questioned whether someone had changed the images and videos in order to cause her problems on social media. However, Oviya is yet to officially confirm if the video is real or fake.
Who is Oviya?
Oviya, a well-known actor from South India who performs in Malayalam and Tamil films, goes by her real name Helen Nelson. Even though she co-starred with Prithviraj Sukumaran in the 2007 Malayalam film Kangaroo, her acting career didn’t take off until ten years later, when she participated in Bigg Boss Tamil 1. Star Vijay hosted the 2017 reality TV series launch, which was hosted by Kamal Haasan.
Her first appearance on cinema was in the Tamil film Naalai Namadhe (2009).
