“Talented Rohit Sharma,” Aakash Chopra had mocked Rohit as he continues to defend KL Rahul’s selection and slanders Venkatesh Prasad

“Talented Rohit Sharma,” Aakash Chopra had mocked Rohit as he continues to defend KL Rahul’s selection and slanders Venkatesh Prasad

Aakash Chopra and Venkatesh Prasad, two former Indian cricketers, had a verbal spat over KL once Prasad revealed some statistics to critique Rahul along with a screenshot of Chopra insulting Rohit Sharma

Prasad wants KL to out of the playing eleven.

KL Rahul has lost the vice-captaincy of the team despite being included in the Indian squad for the final two Tests against Australia. While he discussed KL Rahul’s form on Twitter, Venkatesh Prasad appeared to be on a mission. To demonstrate how they were superior to KL Rahul, he emphasised the names of Shubman Gill, Shikhar Dhawan, Mayank Agarwal, and Ajinkya Rahane and gave their numbers.

Chopra does not rate stats over player capabilities.

Aakash Chopra, on his YouTube channel, has however dissected those figures with a few of his own statistics. Akash said Prasad didn’t even mention Shubman’s home numbers in his tweet. He has played 11 innings at home, where his average is 26.3 because he is presenting averages. However, Akash suggests that one shouldn’t use averages to evaluate Shubman Gill. He plays the game really well. He is a better player than that, but compare the others using the same standard.

Gill has played 14 innings overseas, with an average of 37, and he has neatly avoided mentioning SENA nations. His numbers won’t be so good if we consider only SENA. Bangladesh is making his away statistics appear terrific, stated Chopra in the video. Chopra alleged that Prasad had cherry-picked statistics to emphasise while omitting some others that didn’t present the favourable picture he desired.

According to Chopra, Akash has mentioned Shikhar Dhawan’s best international average, which is a 39. He easily forgot about the SENA nations. The average Shikhar Dhawan in SENA nations is 26. His only other century came in New Zealand; otherwise, he hasn’t recorded one in any SENA nation. He requested that not not view Mayank Agarwal’s international average, which stands at 25. Chopra added that even Mayank hasn’t scored runs in the last two years, not even in first-class cricket.

Prasad was urged to maintain composure.

Prasad was cautioned by Chopra to tone it down a bit and not promoting any agendas on social media. Chopra added that he not saying that KL Rahul will resemble Rohit Sharma, but he respectfully asks Prasad to maintain his composure. He further urged him to refrain from promoting any agendas if there are any. He urged to talk about the actual numbers, not the ones that correspond to Prasad’s ideas.

The cricketer reacted to a Twitter fan who praised Chopra for providing statistics to put everything in perspective by saying everyone must always attempt to do the right thing. The simplest thing to do is to mobilise the online mob. Sports educate everyone to go against the grain for the right reasons. It’s also not him versus Venky. Although he greatly respects him, he believes it was his responsibility to provide context.
