The ICC had earlier stated that the losing semi-final teams will receive USD 400,000/INR 3,22,19,260 each. Moreover, each team will earn USD 40,000/INR 32,21,926 for every Super 12 win. Notably, team India, are the only side in the tournament to have registered four Super 12 wins.

The final winner of the tournament will receive a stunning amount of USD 1.6 million/INR 12,88,77,040. On the other hand, the runner-up of the T20 World Cup will receive about USD 800,000/ INR 6,44,38,520.

Team India Total Earnings In T20 World Cup 2022

Following their semi-finals finish and four Super 12 wins, India have earned a grand total of USD 560,000/INR 4,51,06,964. Since India was the only team to have won a total of four Super 12 matches, they are the third highest-earning team at the tournament.

Now, either England or Pakistan will become the highest-earning team depending on the final result. New Zealand are the fourth-highest earning team behind the Men In Blue with a total of USD 5,20,000. The Kiwis won three Super 12 games besides making it till the semi-final rounds.

India Super 12 Performance

Team India had a perfect start to their T20 World Cup campaign with a Super 12 win over arch-rivals Pakistan. They then defeated the Netherlands and suffered a defeat at the hands of the Proteas who were the only team to beat them in the Super 12 stage. After the defeat, India simply recovered and won the next two matches against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.
