New Zealand
The first team to qualify for the semifinals was the Kane Williamson-led Kiwi side. New Zealand is the most consistent team in the tournament. They won 4 of their 5 matches in the group stages. They will face Pakistan in the SCG on the 10th of November.
England
The England team was looking off track after they tasted a horrific defeat against Ireland. They turned around things quickly and won the last 2 must-win games of the Super 12 stage.
England will lock horns against India at Adelaide on Friday in semifinal 2.
India
The Indian team started off their World Cup campaign with a thumping victory against Pakistan. They lost one game in the super 12 stage which was against South Africa.
Pakistan
After 2 back to back defeats against India and Zimbabwe the Pakistani team’s hopes of reaching the semifinal were looking very numb. Later on, in the tournament, their middle order started stepping up and won the last 3 games of super 12.
